I think Gwendolyn's verbal development is really taking off! Even the past week I can tell a difference in terms of spontaneity of speech, pronounciation, longer sentences, actually answering questions that she is asked.
The girls were in the other room and I heard a scuffle then Gwen ran in here, upset. I always ask her what's wrong, but she usually cries and Charlotte will tell me what happened (and I trust her honesty since she often tells on herself.) Anyway, as usual I asked her, "What's wrong, what happened?"
She touches her head and says very clearly, "Hit me on my head!"
Immediately, from the other room, "Sorry!"
I was just so tickled that she was able to say what happened, honestly, that I was not so bothered by the hitting, lol.
(the girls seem to hit each other fairly regularly, *sigh*. I think Gwen actually taught Charlotte. We correct, require they take a break, apologize, etc.)
